Warmed accounts vs posting through an API

Sprout Social posts through TikTok’s and Instagram’s official APIs to accounts you already have. That gets the post out, but it does nothing for who sees it. A new account starts with a generic feed, so the app has not learned who it is for yet.

Its AI Assist helps with captions and rewrites. If you have a social team, a reporting routine and a lot of replies to answer, Sprout Social is the right tool and Amplify AI is not a substitute.

Where people run into the wall

You pay per seat. Unlimited profiles starts at $299 per seat per month, and each teammate who needs access adds another seat. Two seats on Professional is $598 a month.

It does not make the posts. AI Assist helps with captions and rewrites, but someone still has to come up with the video or images. We did not see AI image or video generation on its pricing page.

It is more suite than a small brand needs. If all you want is fresh TikTok and Instagram posts going out, an inbox and listening tool is a lot to pay for.
